On January 28th, at 630pm in the Fellowship Hall, the Rock of Ages Praise Band will be transformed into U2 for a very unique concert experience. We CAN eliminate global poverty and hunger, ease the AIDS suffering, and quash other social issues that face our world. Not only does Jesus call us to take a stand, but we are more able then ever to do so. Join us on the 28th for a night you won’t forget.

U2’s Bono has started and helps to promote numerous organizations who’s goals are to eliminate poverty, AIDS, hunger, and international debt. The One Campaign is one such organization. They don’t collect money, but rather want to get people engaged in issues facing the world and then help connect them with the over 50 partner organizations who tackle certain issues.

Another connected organization is (PRODUCT) Red which is selling special edition (RED) products where a portion of the proceeds fund AIDS relief and medication in Africa. The Gap has released a special clothing line, Apple has released a (RED) iPod Nano, there is even a (RED) Razr phone. (PRODUCT) Red is constantly releasing more and more products and hope that with each product sold, more people become aware of how simple it is to fund AIDS relief.

Compassion International is a ministry that, for $34 a month, is able to clothe, teach, feed and minister a child in a foreign country. Our youth group sponsors two children, one in Tanzania and another in Indonesia, and we exchange letters and pictures with our children. It’s a very cool ministry that has established a great relationship between our group and our two kids.

Ever wanted to buy someone half a cow? What about a few chickens? With Heifer International you can do just that. Except when you buy cows or chickens your donation is given to people who then will raise the cows for milk, or the chickens for eggs. It’s a very different approach to ending world hunger.

These are just a few examples of how YOU can make a difference in the world. As we get closer to the event we’ll be adding more information about groups that will be coming on the 28th. So keep checking this page.
