“So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret.; -Matthew 6:2-4

Mission TripThis is the youth group focus for the entire year. Every summer our youth group sends out over 100 people on missions around the country and the world. Our 6th grade mission team travels to St. Simon’s Island, Georgia to work with the TEAMeffort organization. Typically they repair homes or work with a children’s home in the area. Our 7th and 8th grade group alternates between ReCreation Experiences in Asheville, North Carolina and Group Wokcamp in Georgia. Both places feature rural home repair but offer different group experiences. Our high school group chooses their project and destination each year within the country. Our Mission Leadership Team (11th and 12th grades) travels to their chosen destination outside of the United States.

Our youth have traveled to Miami to provide hurricane relief, St. Louis for flood relief, the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, the four Corners Navajo Reservation, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Pennsylvania, Texas, Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina. Wherever there is need, our youth group will be there!
