Summer Mission Trips
The mission trips are going to be coming up fast. All of the information you need can be found in this sweet brochure. Just download and print and you’re good to go! In case you don’t want to do that, I’ve put all the highlights below. Enjoy!
Mission Days
Remember that you must go on six separate mission days and fill out a Dunamis Diary before going on the summer mission trips. This is to create a spirit of service and to benefit local organizations.
Sixth Grade Mission Trip to TEAMeffort – $300
Every year our sixth graders travel to TEAMeffort on the Golden Isles of Georgia. There they work in the local Brunswick community or at the Morningstar Children’s Home. This year the sixth grade mission trip is June 7th through 13th. There is also a training day and parents’ meeting on June 6th.
7th and 8th Grade Mission Trip to Group Workcamp – $400
This year’s destination is Group Workcamps in Rocky Mount, NC. There they’ll be mixed into teams with youth from other churches across the country and sent to work in the community. The trip runs from July 18th to the 26th. There are training days on July 12th and 15th and a parents’ meeting on July 13th.
High School Mission Trip to Alabama Rural Ministry – $400
This year’s group chose to serve at Alabama Rural Ministry in Livingston, AL. They will work in the community repairing impoverished houses and at a local day care run by ARM. The trip is July 18th to the 26th. There are training days on July 12th and 15th and a parents’ meeting on July 13th.
