Mission Sunday, Welcome Back Sunday and the All Youth Retreat

That’s a lot of stuff, I know but we’ve got a big two weeks coming up. Now that it’s August and school is almost here, there is still a lot to look forward two and it all starts this Sunday, August 10th.

Mission Sunday
Did you go on a mission trip this summer? Do you have friends that did? Mission Sunday is a special youth led church service where we share our mission trip experiences with the congregation. This all goes down at the 9:30 am worship service (in the Fellowship Hall) on August 10th. Wear your mission trip t-shirts and come ready to have some fun and share our awesome experiences.

Welcome Back Sunday
That night, at 5:45 pm, is the official start of the new year of youth group. Yes, Welcome Back Sunday is the kick off for the year. We’ll welcome our new sixth graders and honor our new seniors. At the same time we’ll set up our small groups and take our annual picture. Plus I’m sure there will be a few surprises along the way. Bring $2 for dinner, a friend, and be ready to have some fun.

All Youth Retreat
If Welcome Back Sunday is the official kick off for the year, then the All Youth Retreat is what kicks it into high gear. We take the entire youth group to Leesburg for the biggest retreat of the year where we’re going to be eating the breakfast of champions. What does that mean? You’ll have to come to find out. The retreat is August 15-17 and costs $65 which is due on Aug 10. Don’t miss out, it’s going to be a lot of fun!
