Mission Leadership Team

Mission Leadership Team is a group of highly committed 11th and 12th graders who want to develop leadership skills, dive deeper into their faith, and become leaders in our youth group. MLT meets once a month to discuss and practice these things.

Our meetings don’t start until October, but for those interested in participating in MLT a pre-meeting with the student, their parent’s and Justin is required. This meeting is to make sure everyone is on the same page with the level of commitment that MLT requires.

Available meeting times are listed below and will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Please sign up for a time that is convent for you. If none of the times work with your schedule let me know and we’ll try and work something out.

Youth Ministry Architects

On September 20-22 a youth ministry consulting team will be coming in and bringing a fresh set of eyes to our ministry. In order to get a total picture of what we do here, they need to talk to you. There will be a series of focus groups on Monday and Tuesday for youth, youth parents, and youth volunteers. Each group will last about an hour and are striving to get input both good and bad. Please plan to attend a group that is geared toward you and help us make our ministry the best it possibly can be. A schedule of the groups is listed below:

This is the presentation that everyone is invited to weather you are able to participate in a focus group or not. The Architects will present their report to the congregation and address any questions. Everyone will receive a copy of the final report.

Fall Kickoff Event!

Our church is having a special, church-wide fall kickoff on Sunday, September 12th. We’re going to gather together and have a meal and enjoy each others company. The event is scheduled on a Sunday evening and will overlap with youth group so that all youth and volunteers can attend. The kickoff dinner begins at 5pm and will be in the parking lot of the Asbury/Ledbetter building (the one directly in front of the sanctuary). Dinner will go until 6pm at which point we’ll walk back over and have youth group as normal.

We’re having dinner catered by 4Rivers BBQ, which if you have yet to try them you’re in for a treat. Dinner will cost $5 for youth and $8 for adults.

You don’t need to sign up, just plan to come and wear your favorite football teams colors. It is the fall kickoff after all!

We hope that everyone plan to attend this fun addition to our normal youth group schedule.

Rock Climbing

Come with us on September 5th as we climb the fake rocks at Aiguille’s indoor climbing gym! We’ll meet at the church at 1p and be back around 5p. $15 covers everything you need to climb. If you want to buy drinks that would be extra. This will be a fun night of climbing things and reaching new heights!

Make sure you are wearing close-toed shoes and bring a waiver signed by your parents. You can download and print the waiver here!
